Sweet Potato and Coconut Face Mask
Great skin is something that you can carry with you for life. The issue with the beauty industry now is that there are so many companies that sell products loaded with garbage, and as a result it can be hard to navigate what’s what.
I like to recommend to clients to take a step back from the glittery packaging of skincare products and instead, when looking for face masks to head to the kitchen instead of the beauty aisle.
This face mask is super easy to make and is also loaded with skin-healthy and moisturizing components (and it’s edible too!).
The sweet potato is a source of beta carotene and vitamins A and C that are great for skin health; for example, vitamin C is a precursor to collagen- a key compound to keeping skin young looking. Both coconut oil and maple contain anti-aging properties, and the coconut oil is also moisturizing too. Don’t forget that coconut oil alone can also be used as a great makeup remover too!
Here’s to non-toxic skincare!
